This client’s first foray into social media came with multiple objectives: Increase likes, followers, shares across channels, have people view their new commercial and be aware of the identity of the star drummer featured in the spot, drive traffic to the casino and sign up for the casino rewards program. We also had less than a month and almost no budget.
My solution was the mashup of an existing social media software that fit our budget and other third party contest apps. The social media software created one central sweepstakes hub for every action we wanted the consumer to perform. For each action – whether playing a game in another app, liking us on Facebook, knowing who that celebrity was in our spot – the consumer got a weighted number of contest entries.
